Thinking about pairing these two up.
See signature for MacBook Pro specs.

Are there any known incompatibilities?

Biggest issue for most is using a firewire 800 to 400 converter that works well. I use this one with my MacBook Pro:

HI

I use a recent MacBook Pro and a 6' FW 800 to FW 400 cable from here... http://www.mycablemart.com (less than $10) .... never had an issue that was cable related. During troubleshooting another problem I purchased the Steinberg "approved" Belkin cable. Way overpriced and made no difference to that issue (which turned out to be configuration related), so I returned it. Tried other cables too, all worked fine.

My MBP runs the 816 like a champ ...best music setup I've ever had at my home studio!

Best
