Recording Audio From VST Cubase Elements

Post by unvisible » Tue Dec 04, 2012 10:24 pm

Hello.
I have checked the manual, and checked several videos, but I can not seem to figure out how to record audio from a vst into an audio track. I do not want to freeze the track or export. I want to record real time knob manipulations from a vst into an audio track. I am using Cubase elements 6. I have set up a BUS input and output in the VST connections. I have Selected the Proper channels in the Instrument Track Channel Settings to Go to the desired output, I Have created an Audio track and selected that out as the input for the new track, yet there is silence.
My question at this point is if Cubase Elements is limited in its functionality.
Any guidance would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you !
