Nuendo 8.1.10 Update

Post by Romantique Tp »

The Nuendo 8.1.10 update is now available:
https://www.steinberg.net/index.php?id= ... endo_8&L=1

For anyone who missed Timo's post in another thread, they're planning to release another free update in May 2018 that will add the new features and other improvements from Cubase 9.5 to Nuendo 8.
Here's what was added in Cubase 9.5: https://www.steinberg.net/en/products/c ... se_95.html
Every time someone says "it must be easy to add/fix", a programmer dies.

Cubase Pro and Wavelab Pro (latest), Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, MSI Z87-G45 GAMING, i5 4690k, GeForce GTX 760, almost every Steinberg plugin and expansion, Trilian, Komplete 10, etc etc etc etc

I'm just being realistic. I thought the speed changes were meant to be the ones added to Cubase 9.5 yet it's still substantially slower. Running Windows.

I believe the main GUI issues being addressed in 8.1.10 are for OSX. I think this update would put Win and OSX on par whereas OSX has been a dog and Windows has been OK, relatively speaking.

I would expect to see the Cubase 9.5 GUI improvements in May when Nuendo gets the Cubase 9.5 features. I'm running Win 7 on multiple monitors including a 65" at 4K and 60Hz without any real issues but Mac users seem to have been slagged until now.

'exxport to video' is THE single most wanted feture by everybody working with film here - and it's been asked for as long as I've been around this forum - so wonderful news to learn that we can expect this in N9. Finally !
One of the main reasons for many of us to go back and forth between ProTools and Nuendo because every director and producer in this world expect to have music sketches delivered with picture. As Trump would put it: BAD ! As Fredo says, it may not be the optimal solution but it certainly saves valuable time...

Nuendo is way too behind Cubase at the moment... Cubase 10 UI is so snappy, jumping back onto Nuendo it feels like a big step back :(
