Maybe their description is not complete but it's a bad sign. My hope is (almost) gone

Well it’s clearly not an exhaustive feature list yet, but I agree ARA integration looks unlikely at this point. Automatic harmonies I can live without, but hoping Variaudio 3 includes alignment features between tracks, that would be very welcome.

5GB of loops ha ha, but will be interested in trying Groove Agent 5 SE.

Looking at that ad, it's basically just a new version of variaudio and high-resolution display support that they've added?
Hope I'm wrong, but that's not looking too mouthwatering right now.

(but, that said, if it's a new, rock-solid build, with previous bugs ironed out, then most people will be happy as 9.5 was a pretty good version.
If its just a few new loops and plugins I'll be a bit disappointed.
I don't think most people buy cubase for loops and plugins, most of us have more 3rd party stuff than we need. )

Steve1977 - in no way is that list going to be anything like exhaustive of the new features.

All I want is stability and boring organizational/workflow features.

But I agree with noiseboyuk , I have doubts that that website has all the info. It may be likely that VariAudio3 could be the front page new feature.

Despite being a 'v10' I wonder if this release is going to be more in line with previous resleases - i.e. smaller more frequent improvements, maybe with one or two key selling points rather than a massive overhaul. For instance, the changes to zoning in recent years indicates Steinberg recognse they need to improv their window management system - and are taking the incremental approach to fixing it....?

If we forget that the upcoming version is 10 and understate our expectations so we'll be pretty satisfied with new version, as usually. )))

of course it can't satisfy everyone's wishes, for me i wish for less click approach,
new editing tools for midi and audio (multi track warp editing in project window etc..)
for mixing, plugin container with tabs of inserted plugins and follow track selection option
for composing, having a "scratch pad" like in studio one
performance wise. quicker on start/quit and project loading time and general performance ease.
well 'the list can go on and on,i see lot asking for ARA support,i have actually melodyne but i dont use it cuz its a PITA using it in cubendo.

It sucks that Cubase will probably never have ARA integration....all because of their variaudio. D'oh! Variaudio is cool, but Melodyne is sooo much better.

It's funny, I'm the contrarian there. I've demo'd Melodyne but found the workflow really clumsy - never mind getting it in and out, Variaudio is much quicker to work with for me, and no complaints on quality. The only issues I have are just missing features - would be lovely to treat the region like the automation editing and expand or squeeze corners easily, and would be great to get timing information from another track for multichannel working, right in the DAW. Polyphonic would be amazing, but in truth its not that useful that often.

I'm a bit concerned by the retailers blurb though is just that it can auto-create harmonies, hope there's more than 3 to that.

Well we don't know yet for sure that ARA will never come, you never know. Either way I'll be interested to see exactly what Variaudio 3 is all about, if it is going to sound better than what we have in the current version. We'll soon find out by the look of things. Tomorrow maybe?

It could be just because I'm more familiar and comfortable with Melodyne perhaps. Oh well, variaudio is perfectly usable and an improvement would be great.

So it's officially about to drop. I bought a 9.5 upgrade ages ago, but I forgot about it, as I have several overlapping projects. I didn't even get to activate it... :D
I believe that grace period upgrades are based upon activation date so I think you might be in luck! Can anyone else confirm or deny?
