I love the Steinberg 44 and have no complaints about it. But the install process is another matter.

When I first bought the unit, i installed it on my iMac. The install and security process is not clear, easy, or intuitive. I recall it took me a long time to figure out how to get it going.

Now, I am trying to install it on my MacBook Pro. Same issue. Convoluted and very confusing process. I downloaded the E_Licenser and put it in my activation key. It took it and presented the FX Suite. I clicked on it to activate it, and it says "No licenser detected on this computer".

I really think Steinberg needs to rethink its security set up process. it is way too complicated and not at all user friendly.

Any advice on what I am doing wrong.?

I agree that this was definitely a huge pain when I got my UR-RT2.. hours of frustration to the point of wanting to physically break something, and I'm a definitely a computer-friendly person!
